Happy 4th of July! We had a wonderful celebration of our country's birth!
First, we started off with Fountain Inn's first annual bike run! Marley rode 3 miles on her bike! I was soo proud of her! We rode all around to the different parks in the city limits. And when I said we, that means that Gran, Pop-Pop, Carpenter, Sadie, Rowan, and myself rode on the golf cart! Hopefully next year I can bike the little kids around too! They had about 40 bikers, 1 on a unicylce, and 1 blown tire! Marley loved that we had police escorts! She felt real important that the other traffic had to stop!

Next, we went for our annual 4th of July lunch at Memas! We had a great time with family! Uncle Scott and Aunt Lisa got a new swimming pool put in. It is a salt water swimming pool. I had never heard of that before. But I am not up on swimming pool knowledge. With a salt water pool you don't have to use all of those chemicals! I have no pics of pool time because we had our hands full with the kids!
Usually we go to the church for a big 4th of July celebration! But our music minister left in November. So we still have a vacant position. If anyone knows of a music person looking for a position, please tell them!
But back to our day, that night we went to Fountain Inn's first annual 4th of July Celebration. They called it Red, White, and Blue Dog. The band the Blue Dogs played from 8-11pm and had shagging music before them. We had a great time with family and friends! Poor Sadie fell on the pavement and busted in lip bad! But all in all we had a great time that was only a mile away!
We made the kids matching shirts this year. My idea excuted through Jon's artistry. I want to be crafty but do not have the skills to be. So I got 4 t-shirts. We put fireworks on the front using glitter fabric paint and pipe cleaners. And on the back iron on letters for LONG. And then underneath that we put 01 for Marley, 02 for Carpenter, 03 for Sadie, and 04 for Rowan! They turned out pretty cute!

I LOVE the tshirts!!! How crafty! What a big day yall had! Whew! :-) Can't wait to see you tomorrow!
The shirts turned out so cute. Maybe I should call the kids by their numbers instead of their names since I always end up calling all the kids the wrong name anyway.. don't you think so Taylor... oops.. I mean Stacey.
