Rained Out

Carpenter's first Miracle League game got rained out! We all were disappointed. But he got to run around the bases! He sure did enjoy the little time he got to be on the field!

7 Things

This is a list of 7 things you do not know about me! I got this from Annie!

1. I hate tomatoes! I know this is a weird one to start off with! I just don't know why people put tomatoes on everything! My mom could eat them right off the vine. I only like them in Heinz 57, salsa, and spaghetti sauce.

2. I have my house plan already picked out! We are just waiting on trying to find some land in Fountain Inn in Greenville County. This seems impossible right now! But we are praying about it and hopefully we will be able to find a place! I know it is in the Lord's hands. He has provided for us so far, our trust is in Him!

3. My favorite quote from Jonathan "It is not like we are going to get married or anything!" We got in a horrible fight one time back in HS. Boy, did he have to eat his words! Love you, babe!

4. My favorite show right now are Project Runway and Top Chef. Project Runway because I want to learn how to sew real bad and would love to create stuff like that! And Top Chef because I love to cook! I like watching the dynamics of these shows!

5. I want to skydive! It is just one of those things I would like to do before the end of my life here on earth. I know you may think that I am hypocritical because I am scared of 4-wheelers but want to jump out of a plane! Anybody want to join me?

6. My happiest moments during my childhood were when I got to spend a week in the summer at my Mema's and Papa's in Landrum. It was such a wonderful time. Not because they got me every toy from Hardees. I just felt so loved! Eating, shopping, swimming, story telling! Memories that will last a lifetime!

7. During my pregnancy with Rowan, I thought I had miscarried! It was a horrible day! The only people that knew that I was pregnant were Tammy and Kelly. Thank goodness I have a wonderful neighbor. Tammy watched the kids while Jon and I went to the doctors office! Luckily, my Dr. C-R, was there at the office. Hearing Rowan's heartbeat was just a wonderful moment! I cannot describe the happiness and relief I felt. It was hard, we hadn't told that many people I was pregnant, because for some reason they think we have to many kids. J/K! I just wanted to call my mom and Jon's mom. It took me a while to recover from the fears that I had lost him!

As you can tell I am able to update because Jon is at the gym!

Easter 2008

We had a great Easter Sunday! We went to church for Sunday school and service. We ate lunch at Gran's and enjoyed the company of Gran and the Stanfill's! Then Jonathan got sick(stomach sick, where you can't leave the bathroom, lovely). So I got on the Interstate and headed to Mema's with the 4 kids. I had to stop on the side of the road, halfway to Landrum, to breastfeed Rowan. He was just screaming terribly. So we had to stop! On the way to Landrum, I just enjoyed the mountain scenery. Like when I travel Downtown to the Meyer Center. I love watching the season's change by the beautiful trees on the mountains. I see a giant American flag at the Downtown airport on the left and the beautiful mountains on the right. You don't have to be a genius to see why they call them the Blue Ridge Mountains. I think they are the most gorgeous mountains. I saw the Alps, when I went to Germany and France. And they are majestic! I don't know, I guess the Blue Ridge Mountains just feel like home. I love living in Fountain Inn. We are able to take a quick trip to the mountains or to the beach! Anyway, while I was on I-26, I thought of one of my favorite Jim Croce songs.

I've Got a Name

Like the pine trees linin' the windin' road
I've got a name, I've got a name
Like the singin' bird and the croakin' toad
I've got a name, I've got a name
And I carry it with me like my daddy did
But I'm livin' the dream that he kept hid
Movin' me down the highway
Rollin' me down the highway
Movin' ahead so life won't pass me by

Like the north wind whistlin' down the sky
I've got a song, I've got a song
Like the whippoorwill and the baby's cry
I've got a song, I've got a song
And I carry it with me and I sing it loud
If it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud
Movin' me down the highway
Rollin' me down the highway
Movin' ahead so life won't pass me by

And I'm gonna go there free
Like the fool I am and I'll always be
I've got a dream, I've got a dream
They can change their minds but they can't change me
I've got a dream, I've got a dream
Oh, I know I could share it if you want me to
If you're going my way, I'll go with you
Movin' me down the highway
Rollin' me down the highway
Movin' ahead so life won't pass me by

I sang this all the way to Mema's. What a great songwriter Jim Croce was!

We had a great time at Mema's. Even though we joked that it was the Redneck Easter. In my Mema's subdivision, every kid/adult, has a four wheeler or dirt bike. I am deathly afraid of four wheelers for some reason, but the kids love them. Carpenter pouted because he didn't want to get off! They had a wonderful afternoon in Landrum! I love seeing my family! I hadn't been up there since Christmas!

Marley and Rowan

The gang - Sadie, Marley, Carpenter, and Rowan! (We like to add a kid every Easter) The girls wore custom made Carolina pink and green seersucker dresses! And the boys wore green seersucker! They looked adorable!

Zoo Trip!

On Saturday, it was such a glorious day given by the Lord, we wanted to do something fun and take the kids somewhere. Marley was at her cousin Bailey's birthday party, so we just had the three little ones! So we decided to take the kids to the Greenville Zoo(along with everyone else in the city), they have a new Zebra exhibit! We had a great afternoon! I didn't get to see baby Bob, the newest arrival from the gorilla family. There were too many people in the way to see them!
Here is a slideshow of events!

I will be posting Easter pics soon, husband is hogging the computer again. I am able to use it right now because Jon is at softball practice with Marley!
