Men and Blogs

So Jonathan went with his dad to the Carolina vs. Clemson game. I asked him to take the camera with him so I could blog about it. He said NO! I think he gets tired of my blog picture taking. Is it just Jon or all guys?

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We went to my Mema's for lunch time and then came back to Gran's house for an afternoon and supper with family. We had a great day with family. The food was awesome! Thank you Mema and Gran!

I did manage to go shopping on the day after Thanksgiving. I fed Rowan quickly put him to sleep and was at Target at 6am. I was kind of disappointed at the sales at Target and then left for Walmart. I got a few things there and made it back home by 7:15. I was really surprised, it wasn't that crowded.

I don't have any pictures of Thanksgiving. My camera is having problems transferring them to by computer.

Marley got the Terrific Kid award! Jon and I weren't there to see her get it though. I had Carpenter appointments and Jon had to work! We didn't know that she would be receiving that! But luckily, Gran and Pop-Pop were able to be there to support her! Marley also made all A's! Congratulations Marley, we are so proud of you!

Carpenter had a wonderful Thanksgiving feast at FIFBC preschool. I have pics of this but due to camera issues I am unable to download! He had a great time with family over the Thanksgiving holiday.

Sadie is so close to potty training. I am going to get some of those thick white panties for her to start off with! She won't keep her clothes or diaper on when she goes poo-poo or pee-pee. She is also talking a whole bunch, but it is really fast.

Rowan is starting to smile and coo at everyone! I just love having a baby in the house! I love the baby stage!

Taylor seems to be doing well at Clemson. She left a cheering voicemail on Jon's phone after they beat South Carolina.

We really enjoyed hearing Mike Huckabee preach this Sunday at church! I was so glad Rowan lasted during the service. I was afraid I would have to feed him and miss the service! I was glad there were alot of people there to hear Gov. Huckabee.

Mike Huckabee

I was so excited to open up my church newsletter to find out that Mike Huckabee is coming to speak at our church this Sunday! I love politics in the sense of making a change in Americans lives remembering that God is in the center. It is sad to say that as Christians I feel that in the U.S. we are more persecuted then any other group out there. Our faith is being tested, called politically incorrect for standing on God's principles. We have to defend ourselves and not be ashamed to share our salvation. I can't wait to hear Gov. Mike Huckabee speak. If anyone would like to come, it will be this Sunday November 25, 2007 at Fountain Inn First Baptist Church at 11:00 am. Or you can listen by radio at 1600 am in the Golden Strip area. I will let everyone know how it goes.

Overwhelmed!!!!

I just wanted to tell everybody I feel completely overwhelmed right now! And I don't want to admit it! I just have a lot of decisions to make with the right services for Carpenter. There is so much information running through my head. Where should I place Carpenter in school? We are going through the Child Find process. I love where he is going right now, but what is the best for him? Therapists, I love his therapists, but can I get more services somewhere else? I just have such a burden(pressure) on my heart right now. Am I doing the best for him? These decisions seem so critical right now. I want to use every possible service that is offered to him right now before it may be taken away from him. I am praying about this whole situation. Please pray that I will clearly know where Carpenter should be in school at and which therapists are best for him.

Carpenter has gone from baby crunches in the NICU, to exercises on the exercise ball, to maneuvering obstacle courses. So many therapy steps and wonderful therapists along the way have led us to help Carpenter along his way. We have been richly blessed by everyone that God has put in our life for Carpenter. All the wonderful doctors, nurses, therapists, friends, and family. I see wonderful growth everyday!

I need a sign, dear Lord! I just don't want to make the wrong choice. I am lifting it up to you, oh Lord. Please let me seek Your will for Carpenter and not my own! I pray for everyone in Carpenter's school and therapy life right now. I thank you for them. I thank you for providing them in our lives. I pray that they will know how to serve Carpenter to get the most out of him. Please keep the joy in their hearts for teaching. Please help us make the right decisions for what Carpenter needs. Please help me to see those decisions clearly and to feel peace about making them. I know that trusting fully in You will lift my burden of decision making for Carpenter's services. Forgive me for my sins. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

And... dear Lord, more sleep would be great! Amen!

Mayor Gary H. Long

I just wanted to send a quick congratulations to my father-in-law, Gary H. Long, on being elected to his second term as Mayor of Fountain Inn. We are so proud of you. The first thing Marley tells anyone about Pop-Pop is that he is the mayor!

Here are Gary and Suzanne at the Capital!
