Low Country Trip
We may be going down to see Granny in the next few weeks! She is in the Hampton, Varnville, Allendale area of South Carolina. We might stay an extra day, depending on the cost and how busy Jon is. Does anyone know a great place to take 4 kids in the Low Country. Last time we spent a day in Savannah, it was nice, but not the kid friendliest! So anyone of you, low country gals or former low country gals can give me suggestions, I would appreciate it!

Umm, I know somewhere you can stay free. That is Hotel Magner. :) All the hotels downtown are pretty expensive and some don't ever allow kids. The Hampton Inn by the IOP connector is a good place because, you can hit IOP County Park (its the greatest b/c it has bathrooms and showers) or you can just head the other direction over the bridge and hit downtown.

I check your blog from time to time through Kelly's. I read your post about "Failure" the other day and was touched. I don't think a day goes by that I don't look around and think, "I should have done this or that" and it's never ending! Anywho, you have four kids and if they are fed and happy then nothing else matters, right?! Moving on, I couldn't tell you of many places to stay at a good rate with kids, but I can suggest a great site. www.vrbo.com It stands for Vacation Rental By Owner. It is a wonderful site to look for a home, condo, apt, etc. to stay in for vacation. Each listing will give you all the info you need plus pictures usually. Good luck. Sometimes there is a two or three night minimum but it will also tell you that with the listing. Sorry this is so long but I thought that site might help you.
Annie, thanks for the invite but there is no way I would bring 6 people to stay into your home! With 4 of the being kids it would be chaotic! But I really truly appreciate your thoughfulness!
Amber, thanks for the website. I have been looking through it trying to find a place! I wanted to try and stay at a different beach, but then you run the risk of not truly knowing where you will be at on the beach!
